The National Local sports League USA (NLSLUSA) is a for profit business formed in the state of Michigan.
The concept of local city professional sports teams competing against each other was originally conceived in 2001 with The National local Basketball Association. That league is still in existence and will be under the control of NLSLUSA. NLSLUSA was formed to encompass more than one sport. It includes baseball, basketball, football, hockey and soccer.
NLSLUSA teams are made up of local players from local cities and across the country. Players can be amateur, professional, ex colligate or have only high school experience. The players are considered professional since they will be receiving compensation for playing on teams.
